One of our favorite restaurants.
One of our favorite restaurants. If there's a wait you can hang out behind the restaurant on the docks, there is an outside bar & a few games of corn hole set up to play. We usually end up here for dinner time which means a beautiful sunset to see on the water. This place is always busy, but the wait (if there is one) goes by quickly. The service is always on point, food is consistently very good. We have come with a larger party and they were quick to accommodate us on the spot.

Had a delicious lunch here with my family. Called ahead to see if it would be accessible for my uncle with Parkinson's, and as was assured, it was. Handicapped parking and nice entry ramp. From the hostess to the server, everyone was accommodating and super professional.

Great view and the food is delicious.
Great view and the food is delicious. Sometimes the wait can be pretty long, but that means you know it's a good spot. Service was very prompt and friendly, and the Bloody Mary and fish entrees are excellent.

Sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon, father's day weekend. The service was excellent and our meals came quickly even though the place was packed. My lobster salad was fantastic; very fresh, local produce. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. Nice selection of beer and they know better than to put Guinness in a frozen glass.

Worth the wait! When we arrived we were told we'd have to wait 30 minutes, which was fine by us since they had a fire pit outside with rocking chairs to sit by with a margarita! About 20 minutes later got a perfect little high top table. Waitress was fantastic. Checking in on us but not feeling rushed in a crowded place. Ordered the nachos to start, good choice. They were super yummy. I got the baked scallops in this delicious butter sauce with mashed potatoes (I could eat that meal everyday) and the Mr. got the steak, cooked beautifully. Didn't have room for dessert but the table next to us got some and they looked delicious. If we come back to CT we will definitely be there for dinner!

The food is the primary reason for the 5 stars
The food is the primary reason for the 5 stars, but add in a few more starts for the setting. It is located in a boatyard and on the water. Our waitress and the staff were knowledgeable and personable.

Moved to the area in 2014; one of my friends suggested the Boroughs for dinner. The parking lot was filled with cars and we thought lets try to place called the Dog Watch. Best suggestion and we've been hooked ever since. Great staff, delicious food all year around. Cute merchandise to take home. The owner and his family are super nice. Down the road they opened a BBQ restaurant; best smoked ribs and BBQ chicken in the state. Prices are great and proportions are generous. When my friends visit from western CT; I take them to the Dog Watch!! One of the best restaurants along the CT shoreline!! Pasta Tuesday for $10.00 in the winter months is CRAZY GOOD too!!
